I’ve owned the MSR Whisperlite for years now, and it’s never failed. It burns just about anything from white gas & kerosene to unleaded petrol (personal choice). It boils a pot of water in under 2 minutes and is ideal for cooking up hot drinks or pasta dishes after a long day.

It is very field serviceable and easily comes apart into its individual pieces (I’ve done it a few times) and includes ’shaker jet’ technology, which is effectively a little pin that cleans out the vapouriser as the gas shakes it at high velocity. Great kit, great stove!

The only criticism is, with no heat adjustment it does two temperatures - Blowtorch or Off!
