<p>Winter is coming&#8230; <a href="http://thegoat.backcountry.com/blog/2008/09/19/dots-gloves-for-texting-on-the-hill/">Dot Gloves</a> makes these liners that come embedded with metal buttons in the fingertips to make texting and cell phone operation easy in the snow. Cool.</p>
<p>&#8212;</p>
<p><img src="http://img.skitch.com/20080922-cppf7bhwhjdjn872huxp8qess8.jpg" alt=""></p>
<p>The <a href="http://thegoat.backcountry.com/blog/2008/09/20/the-speed-vest-at-least-cars-will-look-at-you/">Speed Vest is a giant speedometer</a> on your back that lets all the drivers behind you know that you’re a huge nerd.</p>
<p><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/brSyZ5l-Yr0&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/brSyZ5l-Yr0&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object></p>
<blockquote><p>The Speed Vest is a giant speedometer on your back that lets all the drivers behind you know that you’re a huge nerd. It also cues them in that you’re probably a computer engineer and make pretty good money, so if they hit your ass you’ll be able to afford a real lawyer to litigate. At the very least, it helps cars measure how accurate their dashboard speedometers are. </p></blockquote>
<p>I love this!</p>
<p>&#8212;</p>
<p><img src="http://img.skitch.com/20080922-eh9a82ng716qhm7tgha5sj7s5q.jpg" alt=""></p>
<p>For all those big expedition power needs! <a href="http://www.redferret.net/?p=11154">The Solar Stik portable solar array system</a> looks pretty cool. It folds up into a set of smallish packages which are semi hand portable (100+ lbs) and can be erected in around 10 minutes.</p>
<p>&#8212;</p>
<p><a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/%7Er/AllClimbing/%7E3/395663897/">Allclimbing has launched Climbingvibe.com</a></p>
<blockquote><p>The main goals of ClimbingVibe are to make it easier for climbers to find quality posts and to promote the best climbing writing on the internet.</p></blockquote>
<p>&#8212;</p>
<p>And finally - love this video from REI staff: GREAT STUFF!</p>
<p><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/tyg_7UgZA8o&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/tyg_7UgZA8o&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object></p>

<blockquote><p>The mighty Mount Errigal, County Donegal. Basically a big 750-metre-high wobbly peat trifle with granite crushed nuts on top. We always wanted to have a crack at it on/with the bikes, so we departed Antrim at 5:40am on Saturday 15 December 2007, to climb the mountain.</p>
<p>We knew it was a carry to the top, so we padded the top- and down-tubes with pipe lagging from B&#038;Q. It&#8217;s a good idea if you are going to be carrying for a long period.</p></blockquote>

<p>I&#8217;m fully expecting Tango &#038; Cash to have these <a href="http://www.getoutdoors.com/goblog/index.php?/archives/2424-Pimp-My-Bike-Down-Low-Glow.html">new underglow lights</a> on their Mountain Bikes at the next event. Boys, go for blue ones, way cooler.</p>
<p>&#8212;</p>
<p>GoBlog do it again (we love you guys!) with two great videos. Embedded below.</p>
<p>Combining a ski jump with base jumping <a href="http://www.getoutdoors.com/goblog/index.php?/archives/2430-I-Got-An-Idea-Lets-BASE-Jump-Off-This-Hotel.-On-Skis..html">off the 39th floor of a tower block</a>. Bizzare!</p>
<p><object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Dt18ajY6cgs&#038;rel=0&#038;color1=0x5d1719&#038;color2=0xcd311b&#038;border=0"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Dt18ajY6cgs&#038;rel=0&#038;color1=0x5d1719&#038;color2=0xcd311b&#038;border=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object></p>
<p><a href="http://www.getoutdoors.com/goblog/index.php?/archives/2442-The-Safe-Way-To-Climb.html">And a safe way to ice-climb</a> by using 4 ice-axes to do it. Slow you mean! This is very tongue in cheek!</p>
<p><object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Qd8bHA53wko&#038;rel=0&#038;color1=0x5d1719&#038;color2=0xcd311b&#038;border=0"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Qd8bHA53wko&#038;rel=0&#038;color1=0x5d1719&#038;color2=0xcd311b&#038;border=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object></p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;The climber brings up some very good point, however they are on his crampons and no where else.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>lol</p>
<p>&#8212;</p>
<p>I&#8217;m in the market for a good waterproof headcam, and <a href="http://broadbandsports.com/athletesVoice/tfly/2007/11/friday-random-video-helmet-cam-kayak.php">this kayaking video on The Outsider</a> made me want one even more. Video from Broadbandsports.com.</p>

<p><a href="http://theadventureblog.blogspot.com/2007/11/take-better-expedition-photos.html">The Adventure Blog links to a great post</a> on Mountain World about how to get great expedition photos. I need to sit down and read this in full.</p>
