CHIANG MAI, THAILAND (Team Geared Up) - Wow, two posts in a week for Dublin and skislopes! We got word through Orla McCormack that the “Endless Ski Slope” is up and running in Sandyford, Dublin already for those itching to get their ski or board boots on.
Essentially, it’s a really really big treadmill for skiing on! 50sq meters in size, it’s fronted by a mirror so it’s supposedly amazing for working on technique on. And yes, potentially, you could ski on it indefinitely :)
From a read of the site, it supports 3 people at any time and the speed can obviously be varied to suit. It seems to be primarily run on an instruction-based system so might be a great way to work on fixing those technical issues you have before you hit the real snow? for anyone who tries it, make sure to report in the comments or the forum how it goes!
For more info, check out their website, www.skicentre.ie for opening hours and prices.
