Wicklow Tri Club Amphibian King Aquathon |

DUBLIN, IRELAND (Team Geared Up) Last night’s Wicklow Tri Club Amphibian King Aquathon may have clashed with the last Leinster League IMRA race (won by John Brooks and Erin Roberts) but as you can see from the photo above plenty of female mountain runners chose the former! The race involved 750m sea swim and 5k run along Bray sea front and is (a tiny!) part of my ironman preparations. Only 7 weeks to the big one from this weekend and I still haven’t done an actual triathlon yet! That’s to be rectified this weekend with my first venture into the world of triathlon at the Beast of the East Tri in Co. Wicklow (Olympic Distance).
Pictured above is Bronagh Ni Bhriain, Fionnuala Doherty, Christine Hannelly, Aisling Coppinger, Orla McEvoy and Geraldine O’ Shea. I got that photo from Peter O’ Farrell and you can see his picasa set here.

7 weeks! Not long to go!
Well done on your first Aquathlon missus!
See ya tom at Beast of the East!
Robin, don’t remind me…. ;-(
Hey Jackie! It was my second aquathon, I did the Clontarf one about a month ago. Much the same level of panicking (sp.?) in both I’m afraid. Lots of practice needed….
