Team Geared Up

DUBLIN, IRELAND (Team Geared Up) - The Kazakh climber Maxut climbed his 12th 8000er today. He topped out on Manaslu at 10am their time. I also forgot to comment on Ueli Steck and his first ascent of the Northface of Tengkampoche with Simon Anthamatten in Alpine style. They are using this as a ‘warm up’ for their attempt on Annapurna’s Southface. I will try and keep you updated with news as i hear it.

After calling his wife, Olga, from the summit she reported:

“Not surprisingly, Max had been breaking trail and arrived to the summit alone. Other climbers are still going up, quite slowly but steadily.”
