Irish Mountain Running: Bray Head Race |

DUBLIN, IRELAND (Team Geared Up) The first race in the most popular of the IMRA leagues kicked off last night with a race up Bray Head. The first race is always a bit manic with people signing up for the first time but eventually over 220 runners headed for the hill including our own Neal!! Results and a great report here.
Once lined up at the foot of Bray Head we had an audience of several bemused walkers, footballers and dogs! Pity those poor people who thought they had left the city for a quiet stroll up Bray Head and were engulfed by 222 people impersonating “The Flying Scotstmanâ€.
Neal managed an incredible top 20 finish which is pretty damn briliant considering the size of the race! (I was just there helping out/ spectating/ selling IMRA singlets - anything but running…)

Looks like a long way up doesn’t it? ;-)
Next race in the Leinster League is in Howth and the one after that is directed by me so feel free to volunteer!
Well done Neal!
