Team Geared Up

DUBLIN, IRELAND (Team Geared Up) I’m only reading this now: last nights’ Evening Herald had a full page feature on our own friend of TGU and SERIOUS adventure racer Avril Copeland. The feature is about Avril entering this year’s Women’s Mini Marathon and trying to raise funds for Pieta House, a counselling service for those at risk of suicide and self harm. You can show your support by donating to the charity here. This event should be a walk in the park for Avril whose heading for her fourth Eco Primal Quest in Montana, USA.

Avril is the only woman in the four person Team Hunky Dorys. She’s also the only Irish member of the team having met up with her three fellow-racers in previous events over the past six years when she was living in Nashville.

Hope you’re recovered Avril from your great run in the Boston Marathon. See you soon for a few training runs!
