DUBLIN, IRELAND (Geared Up Blog) - The Hanwag Ivalo boot that won the footwear award was for the new technology incorporated into its sole. There are small pieces of glass in the sole which will give trekkers and hikers more stability on ice than previously available with regular rubber soles.
