Irish Everest Expedition 2008 |

DUBLIN, IRELAND (Team Geared Up) Were you glued to Discovery Channel’s “Deadliest Climb - Everest“? Were you as amazed as me that the annoying Tim actually made it up and down with a broken hand?! Am I evil that I really didn’t want him to succeed!!? He wouldn’t listen to anybody!!!
But here’s one attempt I am rooting for: head over to Everest 2008 for an Irish Everest story of two men hoping to be the youngest Irish men to take on the job next Spring. Climbers Graham Kinch and Ian Taylor, both aged 29, have just begun Intermitttent Hypoxic Training at Peak Centre Ireland. On their way they’ll tackle Mont Blanc, Kilimanjaro and Aconcagua. The point of it all?…
To raise €1 for every foot climbed = €85,000 = a much needed primary school in the Ugandan village of Kitandwe, to be built in partnership with Fields of Life.
Best of luck to them on their training! We’ll be watching the blog for news!
