Cotswold Outdoor Store Belfast |

DUBLIN, IRELAND (Team Geared Up) As if my credit card didn’t take enough of a hammering over Christmas, I had to go and scare it even more with a trip to Belfast. I had wanted to check out this store for a while and this time we had an excuse. With my other half in the market for a seriously lightweight sleeping bag and rucksack for a multi-day event, we set off with a purpose.
Cotswold is a 9000 sq. ft. store in the Boucher Retail Park, Belfast. From what I could see it stocks all the big name outdoor brands. The staff were super helpful and seemed to really know their stuff. We were asking specific questions about bag weights and straps and pockets etc. etc. and what they didn’t know they didn’t try and blag. If we asked for something they didn’t have on display they went and did some research and came back to us with info from their stockists. I was really impressed.
The store has a vast range of outdoor clothing, equipment and accessories from well known brands such as Berghaus, The North Face, Helly Hansen, Mountain Equipment, Scarpa, Meindl, Salomon and many more, as well as a selection of ‘apres outdoor’ brands such as Animal, White Stuff and Weird Fish.
I will be back. (And if you’re in the vacinity you can also visit the Banbridge Puma Outlet and buy a pair of these!)

“what they didn’t know they didn’t try and blag” — the true test of a good outdoor shop ;-)
I didnt realise they were in the north, and there was me buying stuff off their website.
Great crowd of people, and if you’re an organization or group you can really easily organise a 15% discount with them (hmm could we organise one for the site I wonder). The nice thing about this discount is it can be redeemed online or in store. I’ve also found them quite helpful over the phone (and yes I got my 15% discount again) getting even cheaper postage than it usually costs from their website.

We http://www.notthesundayrun.com have one of those codes. Mail me if you want details.
@rowan - cool :-)
I’ve applied for a TGU one from Cotswold too. We’ll see what they say. nice one.
Mmm, might venture North. Need new boots and some bits for an upcomming trip seeing that all my gear is nearly 10 years old…
Evert if you’re a member of any outdoorsy type club they seem to offer discounts too.
