TGU at European Mountain Running Championships

Written by admin

LONDON, UK (Team Geared Up) - It’s time to announce our very own TGU blogger ‘Aisling Coppinger‘ has been selected to race for Ireland at the European Mountain Running Championships at Cauterets in France next weekend (July 8th 2007).

We’re all immensely proud of her achievement and honored to have Aisling blogging as a key member of Team Geared Up. Aisling - thanks for all your hard efforts over the last few months and a serious bit of encouragement is going your way for the weekend!

Aisling just announced the achievement on her blog when her green Irish strip arrived.

The Irish womens team and race numbers are:

132 IRL COPPINGER AISLING
133 IRL MAXWELL FIONA
134 IRL SHANNON ALWYNNE
135 IRL SLOAN TRICIA

Good luck Aisling! I’m sure our readers will be backing you all the way.

Hey there Aisling, good luck at the Europeans…. show them continentals the trail blazing we’ve been witnessing from ye all these Wednesday nights!

Cheers Moire! Well done on your two great runs at the weekend! That win at the Rogaine took nothing out of ya! Sounds like you all had a ball in Delphi. Are any of you adventure racers in for Primal Quest next year, Eoin was blogging about the entries being closed?

Yeah Delphi was great… and the racing was fab. I’m sure you heard of the battles happening up the front with Eoin, Peter and Bernard!

And yeah, heard that PQ entries closed as soon as they opened. I’m sure the old timers (Eoin, Ness, Paul, Ro, etc.) have their eye on an entry alright. I’m happy at the moment pottering around with the local scene… Ballyhoura, Annacurra, Carlingford and the Mournes will do me grand for the mo! Have a great weekend and looking forward to hearing about your French adventures at the next IMRA outing…
