Review of Quechua Bionnassay Trousers |
Bionnassay Softshell Trousers for glacier trekking and classic mountaineering.
Review of Quechua Bionnassay Trousers
Rated as /5 on May 29 2007 by Robin Blandford

Today I got a great bargain in Decathlon, Bionnassay Softshell Trousers for £39. These trousers not only have braces, but also zip off internal gaiters.
There’s 3 useful pockets well placed, and 2 large venting zippers with mesh running down the thighs. The ankles have velcro tabs to seal around the boot.

So far so good - I’m very happy with this purchase.

Hi,
I’ve been looking at the same bargain for a time, but I still can’t decide because I can’t find any real reviews on this item. I know the performance of Mammut Shoeller trousers are super (owned a champ pants but sold it because it was just to hot for summer mountaineering).
Do you already have experience with these trousers in mountaineering conditions, and how does it measure up to other softshells?
Kind regards,
Koen
Just did 2 4000ers and some skiing in them.
Worked brilliantly. Just windproof enough, and just enough vents without going ott :-)
Most of the time I produce a rather large amount of heat but if you say it’s okay then I give it a shot. All in all the 60 euros won’t make a dent in the budget but if I don’t use them it’s a pity. Now I come to think about it, I can always use them for winter climbing and tour skiing.
Thanks for the first hand experience info…
