I have recently bought these too, as they seemed a bargain. Planning on taking them to Ecuador to do a couple of 6000ers. Do you reckon they'd be warm enough ?

Thanks in advance

Most of the time I produce a rather large amount of heat but if you say it's okay then I give it a shot. All in all the 60 euros won't make a dent in the budget but if I don't use them it's a pity. Now I come to think about it, I can always use them for winter climbing and tour skiing.

Thanks for the first hand experience info...

Just did 2 4000ers and some skiing in them.

Worked brilliantly. Just windproof enough, and just enough vents without going ott :-)

Hi,

I've been looking at the same bargain for a time, but I still can't decide because I can't find any real reviews on this item. I know the performance of Mammut Shoeller trousers are super (owned a champ pants but sold it because it was just to hot for summer mountaineering).

Do you already have experience with these trousers in mountaineering conditions, and how does it measure up to other softshells?

Kind regards,
Koen
