I’ve had a pair of these for a while and had to retire them because that top strap really starts to cut into the top of my foot. The strap is made from a rubbery material that is not really suited to sweat, grit and skin. I’ve gone back to the classic style. That’s just my take.

I have a pair with the top strap. Use them for walking, bit of running on soft stuff.

They are great, you get some odd looks, and once or twice a question as to what they are for.

The sensation of walking through a woodland and feeling all the terrain is just great.

Oddly I feel much more stable than wearing walking boots, and totally different muscles get used.

I own the Kayakshed and http://www.kayakshed.com we have been selling them for a couple years now ( I think we were one of Vibrams first stores) Since then, I’ve purchased both the five fingers classic as well as the sprints for myself. I can’t tell you how much I love ‘em! They were not what I expected. I thought I would only use them for water applications (Kayaking obviously). Turns out I use them more for all sorts of things including yard work. They are tough to fit. We have a sizing chart on our site that works well. However if you’re in between 2 sizes. Buy both sizes and return the one that doesn’t fit. They are tricky to fit and they do get easier to put on after you have put them on 2 or 3 times.

They are the best shoes out there. Can use them for anything and everything, they are a must have! I have a pair of sprints but prefer my classics, and after the few days of getting used to them it is almost impossible to wear anything else! They can be grabbed in from the US, but http://www.fivefingers.co.uk in the UK now do them and they are good.

Great piece of gear. It’s like being barefoot, without the cuts. I feel much more connected with whatever terrain is under my feet.

I tried climbing a rock wall with them. You can’t smear like with real climing shoes, but it’s way better than sneakers, and certainly better than barefoot.

I have the KSO style, and definitely recommend them.

I bought my first pair last June, and I use them for everything. I lived in San Antonio, and had got them for the theme parks there, so i wouldn’t have to keep taking my shoes on and off. Besides you can’t wear sandals on the roller coaster that let you hang your legs. After I got them I started wearing them everywhere. To yoga, mma classes, the gym, and everyday activities. I have had knee problems in the past, and shoes don’t allow a natural gait when I walk. For me these truly are the best “shoe” I’ve ever owned.
