Ian McKeever Summits Everest |
DUBLIN, IRELAND (Team Geared Up) Outsider are reporting that Ian McKeever has summited Everest as part of a world record breaking attempt to climb the Seven Summits. That’s 5 down and 2 more to go.
According to Outsider:
McKeever, together with Dave Pritt (Director of Adventure Peaks) and John Whittle are attempting to break the world record for climbing the seven summits. The record currently stands at 187 days.
McKeever and co must still summit Elbrus and Denali before 10 July 2007 to break the record.
The Everest summit was achieved along with leader Robin Beadle from Adventure Peaks Ltd and Dorje Sherpa.
