Explorer: Sir Ranulph Fiennes on MySpace |
LONDON, UK (Team Geared Up) - Aisling mentioned my hero ;-) had won a “Greatest Living Briton” award last night, I couldn’t let the chance go without giving a link to Ranulph Fiennes MySpace page where I found the fantastic video of his Eiger climb.
Sir Ranulph Fiennes has confessed that climbing the Eiger for Marie Curie Cancer Care was his biggest challenge yet. This aired on ITV4 on Wednesday April 4 at 9pm. Watch the world’s greatest living explorer as he tackles the north face of the most treacherous and feared peak in Europe. How does Sir Ranulph cope having previously lost half his fingers on one hand to frostbite? Does he manage to overcome his vertigo? And what’s it like sleeping on a 3ft ledge with a sheer drop to the side? Horrific, hairy and hell – three words Sir Ranulph used to describe the climb.
