Can You See Me Now? |
DUBLIN, IRELAND (Team Geared Up) Can You See Me Now is a chase game played on-line and on the streets and today it was happening in the Dublin Docklands! I think the idea is that online players are dropped into virtual streets and try to track down the actual Blast Theory runners on the real streets?!? Is that the way it works? Some photos of sightings here.
During the game they are running around the streets and alleyways of the city - whatever the weather. All the features you see in the virtual world reflect those of the real city.
I was listening to one of the organisers on Spin 103.8 who was trying to explain the concept.
Blast Theory is renowned internationally as one of the most adventurous artists groups using interactive media. Led by Matt Adams, Ju Row Farr and Nick Tandavanitj the group has a team of six and is based in London. The group’s work explores interactivity and the relationship between real and virtual space with a particular focus on the social and political aspects of technology.
