Wicklow Way Relay 2007 |
DUBLIN, IRELAND (Team Geared Up) It’s the time of year when organised folk start putting together their teams for the Annual Wicklow Way Relay. Talk about a classic, this’ll be the best fun you’ll have in the outdoors all year. ;-) There is always a frantic race going on up front with super-teams from Rathfarnham AC and other IMRA pros but it’s no less hotly contested at the back. Putting together teams, going out with maps and directions and training on your route, even organising cars for the day (pickups/ drop offs) can all take quite a bit of organising. So I suppose the thing to be doing is picking a team of up to 8, choosing a manager, map out your training runs and getting organised for the day itself. Simple eh?
Joe Lalor of IMRA usually puts together a weekly briefing from now on. Keep an eye on the IMRA forum if you’re looking for team members. I’m putting together an all-female-Clonliffe members team for this year just to add some interest!
