Just a quick pointer there Eoin, BaseCamp benefits mountain rescue in England & Wales, not here in Ireland. As Gerry Condon mentions above, the best way to help with our funding would be to become a 'friend' of DWMRT for example. You can find contact details on the site http://www.dwmrt.ie and also learn more about Mountain Rescue in Ireland. We need the help of the public if we're to continue providing the service for everyone who enjoys the outdoors....\

If you would like to help Dublin wicklow Mountain rescue team in their fundraising efforts visit our web site at .www.dwmrt.ie and you can help by joining our "friends of mountain rescue" were by you donate a yearly subscribtion.
In return you receive a news letter of up and coming events in the mountain rescue community. Dublin/Wicklow respond to 50 callouts a year and are part funded by the coast guard and rest of our funding comes from public donations. The team is a 999/112 emergency service on call 24/7, 365 days a year and are all unpaid volunteers.
