Dan, deciding to do your '26' is what makes it an incredible achievement. That might sound a bit cliched but it takes some guts to tell the world you're going to do something crazy, it really does. You're probably also sick of people telling you you're mad. You must have to play some head games with yourself to keep yourself going with an injury (the charity angle must be the big impetus I suppose). Mucho admiration. If you have any secrets, spill them here...........I won't tell anybody...........

I'm raging you've done 'D' and it's not Dublin! Next year come back to Dublin and run it for fun if you haven't already.

If it all works out well they will be. At the moment they're mainly nervous! it's funny, everyone always says to me "Wow Dan, what an achievement" and I always have to say "I haven't done it yet!".

It's funny, I'm doing all this for such an important and serious cause, but running 26 marathons in one year, is so ridiculous, you have to see the funny side of the whole thing. I take my preperation seriously, so that I don't get in to bad health, but everything else I like to treat with a laugh.

Dan I shouldn't laugh but that's so funny, a real marathon runners attitude, that 'you'll get it sorted after the next 20 marathons'...........brilliant!

Hello!

Robin - I will send in updates, as I'd love to feature on Geared Up!

Aisling - I hurt my right knee, after I slipped on a cobble on the streets of Barcelona. It was the slightest little slip, but it turns out I have a small cartalige tear, which prevents my knee from fully straightening. It's a bit sore, but providing it doesn't get a lot bigger, I'll battle through the next 20 marathons and get it sorted in December, after No26, in Singapore.

It is Krakow next, which i am really looking forward to, that's on sunday the 5th, then I'm off to China for the Great Wall on the 19th, then 10 days later I am at Everest, which I think will be the most incredible thing I'll ever see. I can't say how much i am looking forward to tackling Everest.

Well done Dan! How's the legs after London? Krakow next is it?
There's mention of an injury on your Guest Book so hopefully all is well with you and you're resting up! Dying to hear how you get on in the Everest one.

Tis true, the airfares, race entries and general expenses are dear, but I am relying on hand outs from companies and airlines to cover costs, in return for advertisement. Also, the £26,000 I intend to raise is a ball park figure, I actually want to raise well in excess of that. The longer I go on, the more publicity I get and the more sponorship I get, so fingers crossed. If anyone knows any companies that are interested in sponsoring me, let me know!

Cheers!
