In this modern age, power is a necessity to keep all your mobile phones, laptops and iPods ticking over. This is Hi-Tech camping at its best! The tent and system will cost you about $300 (€230) and is currently only in three of their family range of tents. The tent has a concealed wiring system and glowing outlets which can double as night lights!
So is it cheating? Power and electronics while camping? I suppose it is ideal for those who want to have the best of both worlds. Who hasn’t brought their Battery Charger, Hair Dryer, Air Bed Compressor, Vacuum or Weather Station with them camping?
Staying in a tent might not be the Grand Canyon lodging you have in mind if you’re going to be taking Grand Canyon helicopter tours or any other major excursion into or over the Grand Canyon. You don’t have to stay at a hotel if you see the Grand Canyon but keeping your options open is often a good idea.

Talking about high tech camping gear! I could get one of these for permament residence.
What will become of the days of sitting around a smoky campfire, roasting marshmallows, and bonding with nature and one’s family? Camping is just not what it used to be.
