Hero Worship: Fiennes climbs Eiger North Face |
LONDON, UK (Team Geared Up) - If you hadn’t heard already, Ranulph Fiennes at age 62 stood on top of the Eiger in the European Alps having climbed its North Face on a 5 day bigwall climb. If you need a reminder of how tough this guy is, remember he only has half his fingers left, he sawed the others off in his garden shed after suffering frostbite.
Ran - we love you! :-)
P.S. I saw Bonnington in Canary Wharf around Christmas - and I saw Ran was down in Mile End wall where I climb, practising for his Eiger accent. I wonder if I’ll bump into him some time!? That would be cool.
