Gear: Reusch’s Solaris Ski Gloves |
WHISTLER, BC (Geared Up Blog) - Engadget are featuring a new concept in ski gloves. Internal Warmers!
The heat is powered by two flat, lightweight Li-ion batteries, which can purportedly provide a hand-based oven for “around five hours” before needing to hit up the lodge for a quick recharge. There’s even an onboard selector / LED indicator to switch from constant heat to “temperature-defined heating”
I for one would be willing to pay a fair bit of money for a pair of these. I have experienced super cold mornings (-27°C) on the slopes and your fingers take the brunt of the pain.
They will be launched by Reusch (the guys behind the iPod gloves) at the ispo in Munich next week.

With a healthy education in outdoor activities children and adults are better prepared for outdoor excursions.
