RTE News are reporting Search & rescue under way off Clare coast. Apparently a Doolin Coastguard unit and S61 helicopter are searching for the missing man, however that search is expected to be called off at nightfall.

A search and rescue operation is underway in Co Clare after a fisherman was washed into the sea this afternoon.

The accident occurred shortly after 4.30 at Tullygulleen near Cross in west Clare.

Two men, known to be foreign nationals, were fishing off rocks when they were washed into the water by a rogue wave.
