Maguire Destroys the Irish Record |

It is so annoying how feats like this go unnoticed in Ireland. All the media look at is the short comings of the Irish soccer team and how’superstars’ are performing in the Premiership when truly remarkable atheletes such as Maguire are churning out performances like this!
Thomas Maguire has just pulled off probably the most remarkable ultra running performance ever by an Irish man placing 12th in the IAU 100Km World Cup in Seoul, Korea yesterday. The two time Connemara Ultra winner absolutely shattered the Irish record he set in Belgium earlier this year knocking an incredible 38 minutes to cover the 100K in just 7 hours 5 minutes and 6 seconds. This time also beats the existing Irish track time for 100K, of 7:17 held by the legendary Mick Molloy from Galway.
