Zurich Ironman |

On the 2nd of July, Zurich will hold its annual Ironman race event. The event is a triathalon consisting of swimming, biking and running in that order. The event begins with a 2 lap 3.8km swim through the Zurich lake starting and finishing around the same area. Next is a 3 lap 180km bike ride around one side of the lake, both starting and finishing in the same spot. Finally ending with a 4 lap 42.2 km run. The event is open to all ages where the main event spans from ages 18 to 65+ and a smaller event is also open for younger participants. Most of the athletes are around the ages of 30-40 with a total of 75 participating athletes. Updates on the event and the results will be posted on the Ironman Switzerland website
