Germany to Open one of World’s largest Snow Domes

Written by alexc

Since Germany doesn’t have as many skiable/snowboardable mountains as say Switzerland they have been in the process of building several Snow Dome indoor snow sport facilities. Soon to open this Fall are two new Snow Domes one of which boasts the widest indoor slope in the world spanning 100m at the widest point and also one of the longest at 300m which makes it one of the largest indoor facilities in the world. Located in Bispingen the facility is quite near Hamburg, Hanover and Bremen which should attract many snowsport junkies throughout the year.

According to the SCUK, that would make it one of the largest indoor facilities in the entire world.
