First Aid Podcasts

Written by admin

Damien Mulley notes that:

Via the Guardian is news that the Sussex Ambulance service is giving away first aid mp3s on Burns, Fits, Wounds, CPR for adults and CPR for babies. These are professionally produced mp3s using the scripts that emergency operators use if you ring 999. A good resource to add to your iPod.

You can download the MP3 files.

I like the way UK ambulance services are adopting technologies. It reminds me of the ICE campaign by the East Anglican service.

Another great use of podcasting. Also wondering if you had heard of this http://www.voiceindigo.com/ht2/mobquickreg.do, allows you to subscribe to a podcast, get a link via sms, go to it on wap, download and listen, nice and easy and brings you commentcasting full circle :)

brilliant idea. if we all wear our ipods all the time and load them up with everything then we don’t actually have to learn anything ever again!

Seriously though, I think it is good. I will be directing our pupils to it to rienforce what we teach them in first aid.
