RTE News - Coast Guard helicopter to airlift ill diver
A Coast Guard helicopter is on its way to Fastnet Rock off the Cork coast to airlift a diver who is believed to be suffering from the bends to hospital in Galway.
The bends is a decompression illness which affects divers who resurface too rapidly from the sea.
The diver will be treated at the recompression chamber at University College Hospital in Galway.
