2006 Irish Women’s Climbing Meet |

Looking for a chick with rough hands and flexible body? It’d be worth your while hanging around the pubs near the Mournes in June. The 2006 Irish Women’s Climbing Meet is coming up!
As you may know, last year’s women’s meet was held in Glendalough. It attracted around 60 participants and events included slide shows and first aid training. There was a brilliant friendly atmosphere and lots of encouragement for girls climbing at all levels.
This year the meet will take place in the Mourne mountains on the 2nd-5th June.
The meet aims to encourage female participation in climbing and to raise the standards for those already involved- helping girls to make the move from indoor to outdoor, or from second to lead. It a chance to give some recognition to the achievements of female climbers and get a little inspiration from the top girls in climbing.
