Team Geared Up

I’ve been looking for a reason to link to Adrian Wecklers new blog TechWire for the week, and tonight he’s given me the story! Sony Ireland have released a new drop proof video camera, and I want one! The camera it seems would make a great asset to an outdoor lifestyle.

He writes:

The DCR-SR90E “is equipped with physical shock absorbers to cushion the HDD from an impact,” says the marketing blurb. “And internal 3G sensors, which detect gravitational force in 3D, automatically protect the hard disk when a fall is detected by disconnecting the HDD write head from the hard disk.”

While Adrian dosn’t have a price for it, the US version DCR-SR100 seems to be going for $1100. Gulp!
