Most marine rescues in a day |
December 28th is statistically the day of the year that the most rescues take place on. And the festive season December 24th - Jan 2nd is the busiest week of the year for call-out. To my memory, last year our pagers went off on Christmas Day during the evening.

“This is why the RNLI is appealing to the public, whatever you’re doing over the festive holidays, if you plan to go for a seaside or cliff-top walk, or intend to sail, surf or swim - please be properly prepared in terms of clothing and equipment and never mix alcohol with the sea.”
