Champagne Mumm Altitude Challenge: “Bear writes: ‘The entire team has been on tenter hooks waiting for the forecast and finally at 1800hrs we were given the all-clear to attempt to reach such extreme heights over southern England. The team hope for an early night all round but as ever the preparations go on late into the night with the BBC team fitting pencil camera to the table and basket. Finally after only a few hours of nervous sleep the launch team are at Ashton Court, Bristol at 4am doing final preparations. The Drop Zone Team can do nothing now but wait- all is in place.”
