The North Face - Gear - Base Camp Duffel

Written by admin

I love my North Face Base Camp Duffel Bag. It comes on almost every trip with me these days as it fit great in cars over rucksacks… and it’s uper to live out of. For a weekend with a base near a road, you can fit all your kit including rucksack in it til you get there.

Just thought of writing about this today as I was looking up the price of them on e-bay. I have some friends who want them and they retail at €140+ here in Dublin.

Mine has been to the French & Swiss Alps on 4 occasions. It’s been to scotland, wales and probably over 100 nights away in Ireland. It’ been thrown around trains bulging full. Stuffed in tent prches for long periods of time, been infested with ants twice while camping, been left out in the rain, you name it! There is currently a very small abrasion through the fabric of one of the stiffened runners that drags on the ground when I’m too tired to lift it! Thats it! No other problems… since constant usage since 2002… what a cracker of a tough bag.
