Salomon XA Harrier’s

Written by admin

So yesterday I did my bi-monthly trawl through the Dublin outdoor shops… I’m shopping more and more in the Outdoor Adventure stroe now thanks to my 10% Scouter Discount! but was annoyed that they didn’t have much in the Mountain Running dept. I headed over to the Great Outdoors and that place has become a whole lot more technical than I remeber it. It appeared far more harcore ‘outdoory’ than OAS :-( Anyway I saw a few new tents on display, a Hydra 150 in OAS which I’ll write up on soon. I went to take a photo on my phone but I’d have looked like an idiot as the phone makes a camera shutter noise!

So up in the GODs I picked up my new Salomon XA Harrier’s which I’m really impressed with. I took them out for a run last night, and I’m not a runner at all, but hese are my motivation to get out for some more high-impact exercise. I managed to run from Redrock to Balscadden in 49mins. My iPod was playing the same album and it finished about 2mins before the end, which was in my old shoes last week when I reached the summit.

So maybe they do make a difference? I’m gonna run the Irish Mountain Running Association course up on the hill here today, and I’ll let you know the results here! I normally do it in 35mins.

P.S. mine are a lovely black pair! not red & yellow.
