BBC NEWS | Science/Nature | Cavers smash world depth record

BBC NEWS | Science/Nature | Cavers smash world depth record tells about these deepest caver lads… ok, so it’s pretty cool. Pretty deep. I mean 2,080m down is a VERY long climb back to the surface. I’d imagine camping in a cave is somewhat fun! I must admit I was a little disapointed to hear Miners go deeper 3,400m…. when they break that record I’ll be more impressed!

“The nine-strong group travelled 2,080m (6,822ft) underground, passing the elusive 2,000m mark at Krubera, the world’s deepest known cave.

The team was part of a project that has made breaking through 2,000m its goal for the past four years.”
