Team Geared Up

I read the UK Climbing Forums very regulary. Infact I only read the Expedition & Alpine part ;-) but there was a post there about how Viagra has been found to be an effective drug for easing the Altitude Illness of Pulmonary Hypertension. Now, I don’t know if I havn’t thought of something here, but in the article on Outdoors Magic theres a discussion about how this group of climbers managed to climb way better on it at altitude than the group taking the control drug. It says neither of them knew which they were taking…

Would it not seem ovious if you were the person taking it? i.e. The ones on the stiffy’s are them. Also, how did they climb better? Did it not get in the way, or did it form a 5th point of contact, or a gear holder or something?
